Infinix’s Mobile Vlog Awards workshop recently took place at the UP Film Institute (UPFI) Film Studios, offering aspiring filmmakers from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman a day of creativity and inspiration. The workshop featured a talk by director Mark Putian of Wonderlast Films, known for his compelling indie films, who shared his expertise in mobile filmmaking.

Putian discussed the basics of mobile filmmaking, including finding inspiration, creating shot compositions, and the technical aspects of cinematography and editing using CapCut. He also provided valuable advice and insights based on his personal experiences.

Following the director’s talk, the attendees had the opportunity to explore the campus and capture moments that highlighted their school spirit. They were then given time to edit their clips. The young filmmakers presented their work on stage and were rewarded with tokens and Infinix merchandise for their efforts.

The Mobile Vlog Awards (MVA) by Infinix offers aspiring filmmakers the chance to showcase their skills using mobile devices as exclusive filmmaking tools. Participants can choose from categories such as Template Tales and Vertical Freedom and select themes like Love, Moment, and Travel.
