Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since its troubled launch, and soon it will have the opportunity to impress players once again with the release of the version 2.0 update and the paid expansion, Phantom Liberty. The game’s official Twitter recently shared a graphic detailing which features will be included in the 2.0 update and which will only be available with the expansion. The update will primarily bring systemic and quality-of-life changes, while the expansion will introduce new content on top of these improvements.

The free features in the upcoming 2.0 update include redesigned skill trees and perks, a revamped cyberware system, vehicle combat and car chases, improved combat AI, a new police system, UI and UX improvements, changes to loot, items, and crafting, and new radio stations. These features will be available to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S players.

The paid Phantom Liberty DLC, priced at $30, will offer additional content and features. This includes the new district called Dogtown, a brand-new storyline with new characters, new quests, boss fights, vehicle missions and airdrops, a new Relic skill tree and abilities, over 100 new items, vehicle missile launchers, and an increased level cap of 60.

CD Projekt Red appears to be putting considerable effort into Phantom Liberty, which is the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. While a sequel is in the works, it is likely still a long way off.
