A large US bank holding company, US Bancorp, revealed investments in spot Bitcoin ETFs totaling over $15 million on May 8. The company purchased shares of Fidelity’s FBTC, Grayscale’s GBTC, and BlackRock’s IBIT. Their total investments amounted to $71.8 billion, according to their latest 13F filing.

On May 9, Edmond De Rothschild Holding SA disclosed investments in BlackRock’s IBIT and GBTC worth more than $4.2 million. Their total investments reached $6 billion, based on their most recent 13F filing.

In recent weeks and months, several other companies have also disclosed investments in spot Bitcoin ETFs. Hightower Advisors, SouthState Bank, Susquehanna International Group, BNP Paribas, Burkett Financial Services, and Legacy Wealth Asset Management have all purchased ETFs.

MassMutual reported continued investment in Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust, while institutional investors are expected to continue purchasing spot Bitcoin ETFs. As of May 9, spot Bitcoin ETFs had a combined AUM of $52.7 billion, with nearly $11.8 billion in cumulative inflows. The latest disclosures cover the first quarter of 2024, with more firms expected to disclose their investments in the coming days.
