Smart Communications, Inc. has announced a new partnership with UnionBank to offer an exclusive deal for customers looking to upgrade to a 5G device, specifically the latest iPhones. This partnership allows customers to receive up to PHP 5,000 cashback when they purchase the latest iPhones and pay using their UnionBank credit card.
The promotion is available to Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid, and Smart Infinity subscribers. Customers can choose their preferred iPhone model at select Smart Stores and opt for zero-interest installment plans for either 12 or 24 months, specifically for new UnionBank credit card holders using PayEasy.
For subscribers who do not yet have a UnionBank credit card, they can still take advantage of the promo and receive their first monthly amortization cashback between April 26 and July 7, 2024, upon purchasing an iPhone device. The cashback amount is determined based on the device’s principal cost and the chosen installment term.
To participate, Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers need to apply for a UnionBank Rewards Credit Card, while Infinity members must apply for the UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card. Customers who use their new UnionBank credit card and make a minimum device purchase of P3,000 are eligible for the 0% installment offer at select Smart Stores.
In addition to the cashback offer, Smart also provides other benefits to subscribers who avail of the promo. Smart Prepaid and Postpaid customers with a new UnionBank Rewards Credit Card can enjoy “No Annual Fees For Life” by spending P20,000 within 60 days of card approval. On the other hand, Infinity members with a new UnionBankMiles+ Credit Card can earn an extra 30,000 miles by accumulating P40,000 in spend within the first 60 days, which can be redeemed for airline miles and lounge access.
Customers can get the iPhone 15 for as low as P2,033 per month for 24 months or P4,067 per month for 12 months with zero interest using a UnionBank credit card. Aside from the iPhone 15 series, Smart also offers other iPhone models through flexible payment options.
Both Prepaid and Postpaid customers will receive a free Smart Prepaid eSIM and Magic Data 99 bundle with each iPhone purchase, while Postpaid subscribers can opt for Smart Signature Plans+ for data-packed plans ideal for summer getaways.
