In a groundbreaking announcement, TRON DAO revealed today that Google Cloud has joined its roster of Super Representative candidates on the TRON blockchain. Super Representatives play a crucial role in maintaining blockchain governance on the TRON network by producing blocks and processing transactions.

This collaboration expands on TRON’s existing partnership with Google Cloud, which involves making TRON data accessible on BigQuery, Google Cloud’s serverless data warehouse. By having TRON data on BigQuery, developers gain access to advanced analytics for in-depth examination of blockchain transactions and smart contract intricacies, ultimately facilitating the development of more sophisticated decentralized applications (dApps). This move aligns with TRON’s goal of creating a more accessible decentralized internet.

Furthermore, TRON will leverage Google Cloud’s suite of solutions, including Compute Engine for scalable computing resources and Kubernetes Engine for managing containerized applications.

Dave Uhriyniak, Ecosystem Lead at the TRON DAO, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing its importance in advancing decentralization efforts and mainstream adoption of blockchain technology. Rishi Ramchandani, Head of APAC Web3 at Google Cloud, echoed this sentiment, highlighting Google Cloud’s commitment to supporting developers in building Web3 products on its secure and reliable infrastructure.

TRON’s high-performance blockchain, which supports smart contracts, dApps, and various digital assets, offers fast and cost-effective transactions, making it an attractive platform for developers and users alike.

Founded in September 2017, TRON DAO is a community-governed organization dedicated to accelerating the decentralization of the internet through blockchain technology and dApps. Since its MainNet launch in May 2018, the TRON network has experienced significant growth, boasting millions of user accounts and billions in total value locked and transactions.

The TRON network completed full decentralization in December 2021 and is now a community-governed DAO. In October 2022, TRON was selected as the national blockchain infrastructure for the Commonwealth of Dominica, marking the first time a sovereign nation has partnered with a public blockchain. This collaboration led to the issuance of Dominica Coin (“DMC”), a blockchain-based fan token aimed at promoting global fanfare for Dominica’s eco-friendly economy.
