As autumn approaches, Starbucks is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Pumpkin Spice Latte with special non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles. These collectibles will be released exclusively on Starbucks Odyssey, the coffee giant’s Web3 rewards and loyalty platform, with digital stamps featuring the Pumpkin Spice Latte available for purchase. Each NFT from “The PSL Collection: Spiced Stamp” will be priced at $20 and can be purchased with various payment options.
Starbucks Odyssey members can choose from four different types of NFTs, each representing a variation of the iconic fall drink. A member can purchase up to four stamps from the collection. The NFT designs will be revealed by October 10, 2023. These NFTs are minted on the Ethereum scaling network Polygon and sold on Nifty Gateway.
Starbucks introduced their blockchain-based loyalty program, Starbucks Odyssey, last year. It allows members to participate in “journeys” and earn digital collectibles called “journey stamps” through activities like interactive games or quizzes. There are already several Starbucks NFTs available on Nifty Gateway, with prices ranging from $7.44 to $768.
Brady Brewer, Starbucks’ executive vice president, and chief marketing officer stated, “By integrating into the Starbucks Rewards ecosystem and grounding the experience in coffee, connection, and community, we are entering the Web3 space differently than any other brand, while deepening our members’ connection to Starbucks.”
