Ayala-led telehealth platform KonsultaMD has ventured into the enterprise segment to promote the use of digital platforms for healthcare services and simplify access to these services.

According to Cindy Burdette, the chief commercial officer at KonsultaMD, the platform is currently collaborating with 88 enterprise clients across various sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, business process outsourcing, and banking. The strong interest in their services is particularly evident among companies with a large workforce.

KonsultaMD is expanding its reach to the business-to-business (B2B) space, recognizing the crucial role played by employers in the healthcare sector. The platform aims to support its partners in maximizing their health and wellness initiatives through telehealth services, wellness journeys, and compliance monitoring.

Services offered by KonsultaMD include 24/7 online doctor consultations, in-clinic patient services, medicine delivery, and at-home diagnostics and wellness services.

CEO Beia Latay also mentioned that they are extending their services to local government units (LGUs), starting with Makati City, and are looking to expand to other provinces like Sorsogon and Kidapawan, as well as remote areas with limited healthcare access.

In a study conducted by KonsultaMD in collaboration with non-partisan research firm WR Numero Research, it was found that Filipino employees prioritize their health. The majority of respondents had consulted with healthcare professionals in the last three months, and most would take sick leave if feeling unwell instead of working through it. The study also revealed that many Filipinos prefer consulting with a doctor immediately rather than self-diagnosing or researching symptoms.

KonsultaMD recently made its annual health plan vouchers available on the global online store SendVia, making its services accessible to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). There are nearly 2 million OFWs, with a significant number in Saudi Arabia, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority.

KonsultaMD, a portfolio company under Globe Telecom’s corporate venture builder 917Ventures, boasts over 1,500 healthcare providers and more than 2,000 pharmacy products, serving approximately 2.6 million consumers.
