CleanSpark, a mining firm, reported impressive results in June, having mined 445 Bitcoin (BTC) and achieved a hash rate exceeding 20 EH/s. The company’s June performance report, published on July 2, also highlighted an average daily output of 14.83 BTC and a high of 22.41 BTC in a single day.

In 2024 so far, CleanSpark has mined 3,614 BTC and held 6,591 BTC as of June 30. The company also sold 8.06 BTC in June for $67,514.

CleanSpark attributed its increased hash rate to its expansion in Georgia, where it acquired five new Bitcoin mining sites, adding 60 megawatts (MW) of infrastructure. The Georgia sites immediately contributed 1.7 EH/s of hash rate, with a total of 3.7 EH/s expected once fully deployed in July.

CEO Zach Bradford expressed pride in the company’s current hash rate of 20.4 EH/s, doubling the rate recorded in December 2023. CleanSpark aims to reach 50 EH/s and beyond in the future.

Furthermore, CleanSpark is pursuing further expansion through a new Dalton campus, which will add 15 MW of infrastructure at four independent data centers projecting to operate at 2.4 EH/s. The company anticipates the completion of the Dalton expansion by September.

In a recent development, CleanSpark announced plans to acquire rival mining company GRIID Infrastructure for $155 million and outlined expansion aspirations exceeding 400 MW in Tennessee.

While CleanSpark’s June Bitcoin output surpasses its May production, it falls short of the numbers in April. The company noted that May marked the first full month of production after Bitcoin’s halving, which halved block rewards.

CleanSpark’s hash rate has steadily increased from approximately 10 EH/s in December 2023 to surpass 17 EH/s starting in April.

The company’s growth and expansion efforts demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing its mining operations and establishing a significant presence in the cryptocurrency mining industry.
