Chrome has just released a new update, version 120, with several bug fixes and security improvements. Among the 10 security patches, five were reported by external security researchers. Two of the patches are ranked highly critical, with one labeled “Use after free in MediaStream” and the other “Use after free in Side Panel Search.” These could allow a remote attacker to exploit memory corruption. To update Chrome to version 120, open the browser, click the three-dot icon at the top, hover your mouse pointer over Help, and select About Google Chrome. The update will automatically download and install, and you can relaunch the browser to see the new version listed as up-to-date with version 120.
